That's an interesting take. I don't think there is a much talent today, but players are probably better. I think the
teams posssesed more talent then. All you have to do is look at the 8 seeds from that era. When 8 seeds have multiple all stars, you know there is talent. But that talent is relative. I don't think guys who played then could have played today, but you never know because of the advancements in health and the way players are coddled today.

Think about the Hawks from that era, for example. Rivers, Nique, and Willis alone is formidable.

I don't think that an old Spurs team whose stars are in their mid to late thirties and a young Kawhi is very impressive in comparison. Worse, look at the Nowitzki Mavs who had Dirk and nobody else.
