No doubt MJ was incredible in that series....the problem is that was not a very good Suns team and he didn't dominate in every facet of the game the same way LeBron did last year IMO.
LeBron led both teams in every single statistical category Points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, etc....
LeBron also turned in one of the all time great defensive performances I have seen in my life time. He was an elite rim protector even when playing on the perimeter. I've never seen anything like that from anyone.
But above all what puts that performance above MJ vs Phoenix....Golden State was a defending champion coming off the greatest regular season record in NBA history (ironically beating out MJ's Bulls) in a very difficult western conference schedule.
LeBron played every position on the floor in every game that series.
Leading a team in every category while playing the best individual defense I've ever seen deserves the #1 spot.
The problem with this debate as I have pointed out multiple times on here is that you have people that are "team MJ" and then others that are "team LeBron" and they aren't reasonable about the debate.
Michael Jordan has over 100 playoff games (including all of his finals games) in full on youtube. I wish people on both sides of the debate would take some time to re-watch those games instead of going off of memory.
MJ is the best scorer I have ever seen.
LeBron is the most versatile player on both sides of the ball I have ever seen.
Both great.
