I agree with you - the stats are a razor-thin margin.....
But they do lean ever so slightly in Jordan's favor - so barring that, I say you have to look at Winning. I get your point that teammates, coaches, opponents play into it. It's why I don't fault LeBron for losing to San Antonio in his first finals - his team was TERRIBLE. You can make an argument that Zydrunas Illgauskas was his best teammate!!!

But what about him, Bosh, and Wade losing to Dirk Nowitzki and a bunch of scrubs in 2011 - with LeBron averaging a 17,7,6 in that series?????? How can that not matter. Yeah, Jordan lost a conference finals to the Pistons twice - and he averaged 35, 6,5 in the two series. All of that has to matter. LeBron has 8 career playoff games where he scored less than 15 points - including an 8-point clunker in that loss to the Mavericks.

But bring up these things and all you get from some people is "Take off your MJ Jammies!!!! LeBron is the GOAT!!!! He's bigger, faster, and a better shooter!!!".
