I would absolutely say that the stretch 4 has helped LeBron's FG%.
I would also say that the game WAS more physical in the 80's/90's.
The rules have changed so teams can now pack the paint and play what used to be illegal defense in the 80's and 90's.
LeBron's #1 goal every possession is to get a wide open 3 for one of his team mates---MJ's goal was to get 2 points.
The fact that players are better trained and skilled makes it very difficult----on the other hand spacing helps big time. LeBron's team this year is far better offensively than any bulls team ever was mainly because of the focus on shooting 3 pointers.
I am a believer that anyone who thinks it's a no-brainer either way in terms of who is greater is not being objective and has an over-inflated view of MJ or LeBron.
