You may be right. I think the point is the Jacksons do not know how good he is
yet. He is performing well at elite camps but he is not projected as a lottery NBA draft pick like Jabari was at this point. If he goes to Duke and excels as a freshman then he could play his way into a lottery draft pick. I don't think going to BYU and playing well against the WCC would allow him to play his way into a lottery draft pick after his freshman year. Maybe if he led BYU on a long NCAA tourney run. If BYU was in a major conference I think it would so that is why I think the WCC really hurts BYUs chances with Frank. If Frank doesn't excel I think he goes on a mission and then BYU may be an option after. But right now I think it is about figuring out what his ceiling is and Duke give him the best chance to find out.

I love Coach Rose. Fantastic coach and seems like a great guy. I had a conversation with Franks dad when he first committed about how much I liked Rose. The Jacksons have since moved so I rarely see them so things could have changed. The last conversation I had with them about BYU the conference was the issue but there could be more to the story. One thing I have thought about is when he went to Lone Peak he took a backseat to TJ since was a sophomore and TJ was the senior. It may be hard to reverse that role with someone you already played with. It won't be easier at Duke to be the man because of the talent level, but he won't have existing relationships.
