Good thoughts, although I would say a great out of conference schedule showcases
a kid well enough, especially over the course of 2-3 seasons, that a player with NBA ability could definitely prove themself. I dont pay attention to future year schedules at all in hoops, but certainly in football any recruit can be looked in the eye right now and told they will play big time teams if they come to BYU.

Truthfully the WCC "feels" like low level basketball to me. I have heard all the arguments for it and understand them and certainly if a guy is an NBA talent he will be found if he plays in the WCC, without question. It just "feels" low level to me when the conference consists of teams that are not even a blip on the national radar or many fans probably dont even know exist....(like Portland or Portland State which I can never remember myself which is in our conference......honestly I can think of probably half the teams in the conference right now)
