part of that and takes what is left. If BYU is worth 12 million to the big 12 they should offer the other 10 teams $500k and take 7 million. The $500k could be a quite a bit for the smaller schools. I think the one problem BYU has is our friend "ESPN" likes to use them as filler material and we would likely not be as available in the Big 12. But all of this could be negotiated.

If I am BYU I start working with the smaller big schools showing how you will add them value and stabilize the conference somewhat by adding another member. Everyone outside of Texas and Oklahoma should be leary about the stability of the conference.
