You would think that, but it is actually a common misconception
There is actually very little religious content on BYUtv. Most of that genre is confined to Sundays. The rest of the week is filled with family-friendly programming, old Disney movies, some original general programming, sports, that sort of thing.

With your name, I am assuming you are from Texas. Sometime, just for an experiment, do some serious watching of the LHN. Then do some serious watching of BYUtv. Whenever I've done that, I have noticed that there actually seems to be more overt proselyting done on the LHN than is ever done on BYUtv. The difference being LHN is pushing UT as hard as they can. They are very overt about it. BYUtv is usually far less in-your-face about extolling the virtues of BYU and the church.
