...the Pac10 had a lame TV contract (one of hte worst) and was due for a huge bump in pay. Adding 2 teams aso they could get a CCG helped the overall package. College Football popularity and ratings were at an all time high when the Pac12 cashed in their chips. The conference did it right and the yewts had incredible timing.
