There is just so much wrong with the supposed facts in this story......ugh.
FOR STARTERS, Teeples doesnt mention that FOX and ESPN have contracted to pay A 12 TEAM LEAGUE:

1) for ten teams,
2) different teams than contracted.
3) a league championship game that has not been played in either of the last two years

Now to be honest, thats about $84 million that Fox and ESPN have already shelled out which at any moment they could end without breech of contract. The BIG12 has already breeched the contract. They have not as yet because it turns out, they are making huge profits from all of CFB. They have not decided if the legal move (which they would win) wouldn't just cost them the BIG12 which would probably be quickly picked up with CBS or NBC for the same. But that is always iffy as most of the B12 isn't worth what Texas is worth. If BYU were to join the league, it would be worth more to the Big 12 in national audience than all but Oklahoma and Texas, and the OU numbers are iffy because its tough to measure a regional university against a national university. Bottom line, Teeples says can't when the contract is already broken.

So Teeples is tossing out alleged fact patterns without intellectually asking if the contract is solid. The fact is, it isn't and he who pays the bills may ultimately make the demands that leads the B12 into makint a move. Right noe they are paying for games they are not getting. That may not go on forever. Also, when D-4 is formed, BYU will be an even more valuable commodity, probably because it is an independent. It will not be left out of Division 4...there simply is no legal means to do that.
