Savannah State won a whopping ONE game in 2013 (against Fort Valley State University...who knew that was even a school?) and have followed that up with one win this season as well. Their defense is awful and the last time they played a “Big 5” school (Miami, 2013) they lost 77-7. This game is “Senior Night” and it is unseasonably warm, especially given the noon kickoff time. Bronco changes things up and each Senior is announced individually before the game so they get their deserved and loud cheer. They still do the blankets afterwards but this way they get a better acknowledgement in a pre-game ceremony broadcast as part of the pre-game show on BYUtv.

Despite their location in SEC country, Savannah State is bad. JSwag goes off on these guys and tops the 250 yard mark for the first time in his career. Pretty impressive considering he did it in 2.5 quarters. Hill throws 4 TD passes in limited action (Kurtz - 7 yds, Blackmon - 29 yds, JSwag - 34 yds, Thompson - 11 yds), JSwag (2), Lasike (1) and Brown (1) add rushing TD’s and BYU absolutely rolls in this game. Blackmon also adds (another) KOR for a TD...in back-to-back games! Unreal speed on this kid. Defense moves up into top-10 in total yards after this week...Sav State had 123 total yards when the 00:00 hit. Sad...but at least every senior got to play, and Stewart (back up QB) had a rushing TD at the end of the game.

The Cougs throttle the Tigers 70-6.
