My brother and I went on Thursday. Both of us agreed that we love to see the
game live but all of the crap you have to deal with just isn't worth it. From the screeching music to the Grandma Sycamore, Maverick, Vivint, or whatever else is sponsoring each play to the guy taking up three seats and going in and out every 5 minutes to get something else, it just isn't what we hope it will be. Oh I forgot the ribbons flashing some other advertisement.

Like you say, we can sit at home and enjoy the pre game/postgame show on BYUtv on the big screen.

I know I'm getting old. Stuff like that probably wouldn't have bothered me at all when I was a student. The problem is it feels like BYU keeps trying to cater to the students but less and less of the BYU students are into sports. I don't know how that is going to change when you have to have a 28+ on the ACT to get in. It just is what it is. I think BYU is losing more and more of the "old timers" each year and they have been their bread and butter for a long time.

I still get tickets to basketball and have a great time. I hope they won't try to change things there.
