IMO, it's not just ticket prices. And TV access.
The entire experience has become really expensive. Parking, concessions, etc, etc. Small increases in everything associated with going to a game add up to a lot.
BYU is not alone in this, but sports are pricing the average fan out being able to attend more than a couple games/year.
