because it's hard to make it down to the games from Rexburg, and extremely expensive when food, gas, and accommodations are factored in. Like you, I find the sponsored third down conversion call and all the advertisements really annoying, but I love being there live.
The thing that I like about television is being able to delay the games just enough so that it syncs with Greg Wrubell and then listening to his play-by-play. I also like that they will actually show controversial plays on television, though I think I understand why they don't at the stadium. I think they don't want to rile up the fans and have them hurl stuff at the refs like in the basketball games.
Being there in person is such a great experience, but you never have a bad vantage point on screen.
That being said, I think the low attendance has a lot to do with the mediocre teams of before and economic circumstances. I think if last year's team had been good, there would have been a lot more games sold out this year.
