Nanjing or doing bad stuff in Bataan? Almost any way you define it, it was relatively few when you consider the population of Japan. People may jump to the conclusion that many other Japanese would have done the same thing had they had the opportunity, but that is just speculation, and the fact is that they didn't do it.
Regardless, today's Japanese have nothing to do with what happened back then, whether it was relatively few of them, or the majority.
