That changes the whole calculus. If you HAVE to bring someone in, it makes more sense to gamble on an unknown commodity, particularly where no known alternatives exist. BYU football doesn't HAVE bring someone else in. So it makes it much more of a gamble. Do you fire a guy who consistently gives you 8-5 even though it's unknown whether any replacement will give you better than that? That's the question.
