Based solely on my time at BYU, it seemed like BYU wasn't popular with Utahns

unless they actually went there. Even if parents attended BYU, they turned into Utah or USU fans if their kids got rejected from BYU.

I guess what I'm saying is that BYU's popularity within Utah seemed to be declining even before our football struggles.
