Why would BYU go back to the MWC? They make more money as an independent.
In the end I don't think it will matter. As major college football incrementally becomes a professional sport, the less the church (the BOT and the brethren) will want anything to do with it. I have a hard time envisioning a future where BYU football remains competitive at the major FBS level.
