Nashty, thank you for sharing your opinion on what the Church should do with BYU and the direction that they should go. I am sure that they will sit down as a group, especially the Quorum of the Twelve and Board of Trustees and ensure that they have reviewed your CB posting.

BYU's relevance as a football power is important, but as Tom Holmoe recently alluded to, If the college football landscape becomes a semi-professional experience with budgets getting completely out of focus on football (as many already are), the Church will not play that game. I too agree with that concept. Do I love BYU sports? Without question. Is there a limit that I want to see? Same, without question. Do I like to see our teams win? Yep, but not at all costs.

I'm pretty sure that the Church leaders have a more cognizant perspective of ALL things that BYU is involved in, and not just NCAA athletics, even though they are committed to seeing success in these programs. Let me know when the BOT gives you a call about your opinion.
