It's a symptom of what is wrong with the program
Winning 9 games a year against poor teams is not good for the program. Playing 2 pm on Monday, Dec 22nd (11 am PST) is not good for the program.
When Detmer thought about schools, his dad told him to play at BYU if he wanted to be a QB. I doubt non-LDS coaches would ever mention BYU now.
