They were top 25 in the coaches poll
and if a team is top 25 in either poll (or the BCS poll when it existed) then they are a top 25 team. That's why Utah can claim a #2 finish in 2008 because the AP had them at #2 to finish the season, even though every one else had them at #6. So based on what I just said I think the Coaches Poll is the only true poll
People with an anti Bronco agenda either ignore or discredit 2011 because it ruins the narrative. They also ignore that if Taysom were not injured this season it is probably Bronco's best season as HC ever. That would also ruin the narrative.
