If that is your argument then ban all high-fructose drinks because it's all bad

or, you can let people decide for themselves what to drink. I never drink soda, caffeinated or otherwise, but pretending college kids don't want to drink a coke now and again is dishonest. If it's health you are concerned with drink unsweetened green tea.
