I'm just warning you of the unintended consequences of the new regulations
you support. Net neutrality outlaws fast lanes. Whether that's good or bad is up to you. It's not a very far stretch to think some lawyer can and will argue that peering is back door fast laning.

The little league example is very appropriate. The law it supposedly broke was in providing equal services to both girls and boys. The parents took it upon themselves to improve the field. Nobody forced them to, nobody said the field would be made worse if they didn't. They just did it. The girls' parents came crying saying they didn't have the same resources to do the same improvements. Court said, yep, either the boys' parents must improve both, or they can improve neither.

Youtube took it upon themselves to improve their "field". Nobody forced them to, they just did it because it improves their service and therefore improves their profitability. Now comes Joe Blow Website crying he doesn't have the resources to do the same and that Youtube has an unfair advantage. You can't sit there and claim Joe Blow is free to do the same improvements Youtube did. So were the girls' parents. Doesn't matter. Net Neutrality says all data must be treated equally. Youtube is being given preferential data speed to reach your home due to the peering networks they've paid for at the ISP's. That's not neutral data. This may not pass the common sense test, but neither did that little league decision. Are you seriously gonna sit there and claim you haven't seen stupidity in our government before?
