That would be true if ISPs didn't have a monopoly
Because of the cost of building out last mile infrastructure ISPs have historically colluded not to compete with one another. Most of the US has only one option for good broadband. If you don't like that you now have to pay more for internet access and Netflix and anyone else they decide they want more money from (ISPs could expand this list infinitely) you can't go anywhere else. Your only choice is to go without the internet completely and that's not very realistic.

And your argument doesn't help the guy with a good idea and not a lot of capital. Under net neutrality he can purchase internet service from one person and scale his business as demand increases. His small amount of capital won't even get his business off the ground if he has to pay 100 different ISPs individually for transit, buy additional servers, and collocate.

It also doesn't address what I think is an even scarier possibility. Seriously, what happens when your favorite people, Comcast/NBC, decide that they want to censor parts of the internet they find objectionable? Again, you can't just go get your internet from someone else. I find that tech companies values are not always in line with my own values.

I believe in free markets and capitalism but it comes with a caveat. One of those caveats is monopolies. I think that history has shown that free markets are not always self regulating. Monopolies are one of those things that is not self regulating. I understand why you are concerned about government regulation. Do corporations never scare you?
