for an at-large spot (like BYU does), they would not have made it to the NY6 game. So, sure, because of the auto-bid for the highest ranked G5 conference champion, BSU has a better chance than BYU to get to a NY6 game. It's not because the committee values MWC championship more than they would a big season by BYU with a much more difficult schedule. Also, yes, schedules change from year to year, unless you're in a G5 conference when the vast majority of your schedule is set year-in and year-out. BYU's current schedules and the schedules we have as far as we have visibility are unquestionably more difficult and respect-earning than anything we'd be able to put together in the MWC. There is no way the playoff committee is going to give any G5 team the same kind of respect that they would give to a BYU team with a similar record, assuming the usual case of a much more difficult schedule for BYU. Just look at this next season's schedules for BYU and BSU, and it's very easy to see that BYU would be higher ranked and more respected due to the kind of schedule we have. We actually have a top-15 type strength of schedule this coming year, and future schedules are similar.
