They have not given up on competing for the whole thing, nor have they relegated themselves down to AAA. That's what going back to the MWC would be like - a relegation to AAA. Will it be difficult for BYU to compete with the big boys of college football year-in-and-year-out? Yep, it will be. But the rewards will be great if we can pull it off. G5 conferences will always be available to BYU. No need to hasten our demise prematurely. No reason to voluntarily cut ourselves off from major revenue sources. No reason to voluntarily take a seat at the kid's table. Let's start playing these tough schedules and see what happens.
