The only reason BYU fans are unhappy with independence is because Utah is in
the Pac12. Instead of comparing BYU to it's own former position, they are comparing BYU to Utah's current position.
And I get it. It sucks that Utah is in the Pac12 instead of us. In fact - it's probably the suckiest thing about my life right now. But to suggest BYU would somehow be better off in the MWC is laughable. It's a nonstarter. There is nothing better about the MWC. No one cares about the lame extra NY6 that isn't in the playoff. It's the Boise State bowl. Big deal.
