From the Bronco's mouth.
I didn't get to watch media day, but found this bit interesting from a Nebraska article I read today.

“I’ve had a really clear vision since about Year 3,” coach Bronco Mendenhall said. “I envision a day where BYU wins a national championship while promoting our faith through football.
“Expectations are the same. ... I’ve made the standard so clear so many times, there’s not really much else to say. It’s more about doing.”

So my question to all the Bronco apologists is... At what point do we hold him accountable to meet this standard? I don't have a problem with him setting a NC as the goal (though I think thats a stretch) but I want to see progress. Are we anywhere closer to reaching these standards than we were in 2008?
I want to see life, excitement, and fire in the program again. If not a new HC, than what needs to change?

I hate seeing the apathy and disinterest. When I asked my youngmen in the ward if they wanted to go to a BYU game this fall, not a single one was interested. The ones that cared about sports or football are Ute fans, and wanted to go see a game at RES... which I shotdown at once. My own brother and Dad (lifelong BYU fans) have defected and are slowly becoming Utah fans, because they just don't enjoy watching BYU football anymore. The mental anguish is too much.
