Why would we judge him against a NC standard? MANY, MANY, ELITE coaches haven't
won one, so now, I dont think we hold him accountable for not winning one. Even the best coach of all time at BYU in Lavell got only 1 and many people would say that was a fluke and in todays college football wouldnt have happened. So in no way, shape or form do I think we judge BRonco against that standard and if we did then a LOT of college coaches deemed elite would also fail.
Progress as a standard? Absolutely fine with that.
