Ugh my Dad has been a fan since the 60's.
I don't think it's so much that they are having consistently better seasons (Though they have had 2 undefeated seasons in 10 years). I think it's more just the excitement and growth of the program the past couple decades. Like it or not, they have made some huge strides.
It doesn't hurt that they are going toe to toe week in and week out with teams like USC, UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon.
BYU fans just need something to get excited about again. Just my opinion
