I think the "staring at me" bit is overblown. I stare at people all the time, but is it mostly because I'm trying to remember:
1. Where I've seen them before?
2. Who they are? (i.e. I should remember their name)
3. Who they remind me of? (famous, infamous, or other)
4. They are consumingly beautiful and I need to remember that image for a lifetime.
Other than number 3 which can be weird, and 4 which is creepy and totally made up, I don't think that says much about judging, high and mighty, or biased. Sure if they lock their doors or cross the street or run grab their children or make verbal or physical signs of fear, loathing, disgust, etc. then all bets are off and you are free to draw conclusions.
I know this is just me and doesn't apply to all at BYU, but can we just give people a break every once in a while. I'm tired of the whole, "he looked at me so that means ______!" crap.
