I guess I'm not sure why that matters. Westerners often object to conduct
that they view as immoral (Mormons are especially prone to this). Many westerners object (on moral grounds) to the idea of killing things for ritualistic and/or entertainment purposes. I can't say I really disagree. Most westerners do not morally object to killing for food.

The fact that non-westerners ("3rd world" or whatever) don't morally object to killing lions seems irrelevant to me. For one, their situation is different (they may not be hunting for fun and may, instead, be hunting for food). But even if the situations are the same, I don't have to share their moral opinions. It's not a 1st world "problem." It's 1st world moral values, which may be different from the values of those in other parts of the world.
