You may not have noticed, that but this evolved into a discussion on hunting.
That guy's specific case is obviously the catalyst for the discussion.

But this entire discussion isn't about one hunter who screwed up. It is about a backlash on hunting in general. With the understanding that the reason for backlash against the dentist is obvious, but what about other big game hunters who have experienced the ire of animal lovers everywhere.

If your only focus is that one case, and everything is representative of that one case, then there are a myriad of other bandwagon issues you should probably get on.

Like the one drunk driver who killed someone in an accident means all drivers are drunks and driving should be outlawed. Or the one teacher who molested a student means that all teachers are horrible people looking for opportunities to take advantage of children and schools should be done away with. Or the one investment adviser who cheated his clients means that all financial advisers are crooks and how could ANYONE ever pursue that kind of career in good conscience?

You get the idea.

The question isn't about why is there backlash when a hunter breaks the rules. The question is, why is there backlash against the hunters that don't.
