As much of a blunder as that was, I still think it came down to how Doman

handled the situation.

Bronco still had a lot of tempered trust in him--it certainly seemed--going into that season. But you could tell it eroded pretty bad in the 2nd half of the season. Our offensive & defensive staffs had a very cold partnership.
