To me, the transparency that is glaringly missing is how much of what the kids
sell actually goes to the school district. I would be willing to bet of the % breakdown of what goes to the promotion companies, the companies that make the crap being sold, and the schoool, the school's piece of the pie is the smallest. I totally agree that it would be MUCH better if the schools just came out and said, "we would like to raise an extra $XXX to be able to fund the following activities/programs". They would probably end up with more money and save everybody a HUGE headache
