I think there are a few writers out there who believe BYU passed on the Big XII in 2011 because they thought being Indy was better, but that now they see the light and are begging to get what they once passed on. (I think a few CBers believe this too.) Some writers and commentators talk as if BYU even spurned the PAC12.
Neither is true of course, but I think this is the mindset where Dodd is coming from. No rational person could look at BYU in 2016 and compare it to the MWC in 2016 and not see that BYU is in a far better position.
