In those halfs where Taysom absolutely stinks there's no harm in sitting him...
...down for a series or two to give the offense a spark and at the same time give him some extra time with coaches to go over what he's seeing, missing and struggling with and how to over come it. He can't be so emotionally fragile that he would crumble by sitting a couple series. Once he's had some additional time to go over things with the coaches he could go back in and give it another go.

We played an entire half with him looking pathetic going 4-15 and giving no hint that he was going to straighten out on his own. Why wait all the way until halftime to give him time to go over things with coaches letting BYU fall into a deep hole? Start that process a lot sooner, get him straightened out and then put him back in.
