Yep. The left used to hold up the VA as the shining example of how well a single
payer system could work.
Until all the horror stories started coming out about how truly awful healthcare is under the VA. But you are right--that is clearly where we are headed.
Yay us! We had a very good system that had some flaws, and we decided to burn it to the ground and replace it with something much worse in order to for the government to get more control over our lives.
