...I think Pope is going to be a really good player's coach, especially for bigs. Who do we have coaching bigs now at BYU, 5'10" Terry Nashif? Tim Lacomb who never played in college?

The scholly was most likely down to him or Shaw. Hindsight..... but can see where it was a tough choice at the time.

He should have. When he came in as a freshman his bb skills were very rudimentary.
