Coach Pope and Neilson we're on Sports Beat after beating BYU and Coach Pope talked about how motivated Neilson came in and how hard he'd worked. Said he'd put on 20 lbs of muscle and transformed his body to go toe to toe with big men like BYU has. It sounds like leaving BYU was a huge motivating factor for him and from what I understand it wasn't his call so I wish him all the best!

The scholly was most likely down to him or Shaw. Hindsight..... but can see where it was a tough choice at the time.
