I agree with you about people's hypocritical hate for Penn State, but in this
you are wrong. Yes, Sandusky is the culprit. He performed the act. But Joe Pa and PSU admin were accomplices to all acts that occured after 2002 because of their inaction. He did the act but was facilitated in his actions by their conscious decision to not act on the information they were given in 2002.

It's sad and horrible what happened. Sad that it was facilitated by someone we all respected up to that point.

But I agree with you that everyone who watches, supports, or encourages college football bears some guilt. Same with the Baylor situation. Same with the SMU situation. Same with the Mixon situation in Oklahoma. If we plan to hold PSU singularly accountable, and if we support their eternal decline because of how some of them and their fans act now, we should all hold ourselves responsible. Because our support of ESPN, Comcast, CBS, ABC, and all other college sports entities adds to the prestige and mystique of a system that allows, and some would say promotes, such behavior.

Shame on society for being so hypcritical and puritanical a la "The Scarlet Letter".

(Yup. I just dropped an early American literature reference. I should be banned)
