Gee...too bad he ran off Isaac Neilson
his length (7'3" wingspan) gives him some unique advantages as a help defender and rim protector. I'm not so sure how good of a stretch four Dastrup will be. It's hard to judge based on his currently fitness level whether he will be mobile enough to be effective facing the basket and playing from distance.

As for our offensive scheme, we need to do a lot better running plays for guys in the half court set when teams take away our transition offense. WE just don't have the players that can consistently be relied upon to go drive/kick and break defenses down. In the UTA game they switched their offense with ease between whatever defense we ran and we were helpless to stop them. Either their coaches on the sideline recognized the changes to our defense and made the call or their floor leaders did it but they countered with ease whatever defensive changes we threw at them. I don't see that kind of court smarts at BYU, with coaches or players with regards to our offense.
