when building a team, having all players as game changers doesn't always...
...work chemistry wise. You want guys who can fill roles mixed in with the game changers. Look at the players on SMC, none of them individually are game changers, they just all know their roles, are all committed defenders and put the team first.

One of the problems we have with this team is we have a lot of guys who were game changers at previous schools. They have a hard time figuring out where they fit when they can't always be the game changer. Part of what made the LP program so great was the guys mixed in with the game changers like Frampton, Shumway, etc. Those guys are the glue on the team.

Having a guy who's currently averaging nearly a double double and is a legit shot blocker and can hit from 3 would've made a big difference on this team, especially after we lost KD. He wore down badly towards the end of the year and I'm not sure if he was battling an illness or an injury.

I don't disagree with the need for help in the backcourt. But even there the biggest help we needed is guys willing to play defense and make the extra pass. Its unfortunate that BYU's Law School wouldn't let Jordan Chatman play because he would've helped but that was a convenient excuse for him (I read he didn't go to BC for law school and instead is working on an MBA or something like that? He could've done that at BYU). He could've made a difference this year, as a sophomore he avgs 8.6 pts on 41.7% from 3 (91%FT) in the ACC. Frank Bartley is another guy who could've made a difference on this team. They're not individually game changers but together they could've made a game changing improvement to the team.
