We've been hearing this stuff a lot lately. i don't buy it. People think Nashif's problem was toughness?
"BYU needs an assistant with an attitude?"

Please. Enough of the personality cultism. Let's hire a thinker and a worker who is sane enough to be a unifier, and roll with whatever style suits him.

When will we learn that great leaders come in all personality types, that in fact personality means nothing, while brains, passion/energy, and integrity offer the whole package. If a person has those requisite qualities for a job, he/she will make their personality work. Doesn't matter if they're loud or quiet, gentle or harsh, systematic or spontaneous.

Sadly, people believe this stuff, which always works to the disadvantage of the organization that goes with it.

BTW, not making a judgement on Nashif, and it remains to be seen if that move turns out to be helpful.
