Beo might have made a solid backup, but maybe Beo didn't want to be a backup.

Beo was never going to be a starter given the current personnel. Maybe Rose was honest with Beo and told him that. To me, that's not running a player out the program. It's being honest with a player and giving them the opportunity to find a better fit.
