Disagree. Part of the problem we had this season is the lack of experience on...
...the bench. Kicking guys off the team after their freshman year (or sophomore year in the case of Chatman) because they're not superstars right out of the gate is very short-sighted by coaches and it continues the pattern of having raw, inexperienced and ineffective bench support. How many games would've had different outcomes if we had some experienced players on the bench? Not every player you recruit is capable of having an impact their first or even 2nd year or is going to be a 4 yr starter. Players need time to develop and grow their confidence and their games.

Look at Anson Winder. He was extremely valuable as a senior and started to show reliability as a junior but he wasn't much of a contributor as a frosh or a soph. He actually saw his minutes cut in half from his freshman year to his sophomore year and then by his junior year he was back to what he had played his first year but was shooting and scoring a lot better and providing a defensive presence off the bench.

A few guys come in (like Nick Emery did) and contribute right away, most others need time in the system to develop. Had coaches not run off guys like Frank Bartley, Isaac Neilson, Jordan Chatman and even players like Jake Toolson or Cory Calvert we would've had experienced, reliable role players coming into games when our starters were having off nights, we had matchup issues with a particular opponent or key players were in foul trouble.

Having Beo as an experienced sophomore and junior would've provided a valuable spark off the bench, even just as a spot up shooter in the corner.
