Take all of the player personnel situations out of the equation and just talk Detmer.

He clearly didn't come close to getting to do what he wanted. Don't be naive enough to think this offense supposed to be "grind it out" as some think.

He's proven through recruiting and interviews what his intentions are. And it's clear everyone where they were lacking in personnel.

You'll laugh but it's because you won't actually have a response to this.

Doesn't mean he's going to be amazing but I have yet to see anyone who claims much worry for Detmer himself bring up concerns about Detmer himself. We're all open to hearing them. And of course, these would need to be concerns one wouldn't expect a first year to typically fix over time.
