There have been notable exceptions, but we have had very good size and talent on the offensive line for more than 35 years, the last 20 years and the last 10... certainly we've produced more NFL players from that position than any other.
Other than a couple of aberrations in coaching the position (namely Anae's efforts to recruit smaller, more agile linemen), we have consistently had great size on the o-line and the consistency of the talent there is a main strength of BYU's program.
I don't care if you want to argue a high-school-sized talent pool or whatever, o-line is not a position we've struggle with as a result of it.
I'll buy arguments about not being able to get speed, DBs, etc. -- the typical guff about our restricted recruiting pool. But size and strength for our front seven on D and size and strength of our o-line have not historically been the problem areas in BYU recruiting, nor are they now.
