I think part of the issue is that with an Indy schedule you really only get one
month to show what you can do, since all of our best games are in September.
I think fans are hoping for a breakout year, not another year in which we are bad in September, lose most of our meaningful games, and then terrorize a bunch of bottom tier G5s and FBS Independents in order to make a mediocre bowl game.
In other words, I think it may be setting in that this is as good as it's going to get in the near future. Which is depressing.
