Yes, this year we are bad. But that doesn't mean anything in the big picture.
Last year LSU's average margin of victory was 22 points. Louisville, with a Heisman quality QB, didn't get in the end zone against LSU. Louisville was ranked 13, LSU was 20.
Wisconsin is similar. Last year, Michigan state didn't get in the end zone against them. MSU was ranked 8th and Wisconsin was 11. MSU has a better coach and more talent than BYU. Wisconsin allowed an average of 16 points per game last year.
My point is, the offense is definitely below average and when you play teams like LSU and Wisconsin, you get those results. They're not unexpected.
